Public law

LETT has always provided extensive assistance to the public sector as well as advice regarding the public sector. We advise and assist municipalities, government agencies and government enterprises as well as businesses and private individuals within all areas of public law and all other related areas of the law.

LETT’s close contact to our clients gives us special insight into the actual, legal and political aspects that apply to public authorities and enterprises. We are thus able to adapt our advice to the individual client’s situation and requirements.

We have advised public authorities within the central government, counties as well as municipalities and have also advised businesses as well as private individuals in relation to the authorities.

LETT provides advice on i.e. planning procurement procedures, establishing inter-municipal enterprises, public servants relations and other aspects of employment law, the rules governing the legal capacity of a municipality and the Danish Act on the government of municipalities, and legal matters relating to state undertakings.

Furthermore, public law and administrative law play an important part in a number of other areas of law, including tax law, energy law and environmental and planning law. Our team thus cooperates closely with our experts within the relevant practise areas and offers our clients extensive and in-depth advice.

LETT has also accumulated unique and comprehensive expertise in providing advice on Public Private Partnerships (PPP) for financing, design, establishment and operation of public functions in a cooperative relationship between the public authorities and private businesses and investors.
