Energy Law

LETT advises private as well as public players in the energy sector on all aspects of energy law, including legislation on electricity, heat, oil and gas. We assist our clients in selling, merging and demerging utility enterprises and energy supply companies and in privatising municipal enterprises.

LETT provides advice on pricing, permits, authorisations, concessions and licences and assists in drafting contracts on the production, supply and transport, etc. of energy products, including renewable energy sources.

Energy law comprises the commercial regulation of energy supply companies and competition between them as well as the public regulation of the activities carried out by enterprises holding concessions within the supply, transmission and production of energy.

In addition to knowing the specific energy legislation, enterprises in the energy sector must also know about procurement rules, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and public law in the broad sense, including environment, competition as well as issues relating to direct and indirect taxes. LETT also provides assistance to our clients in relation to the authorities granting concessions.

LETT offers expertise within all specialised subjects, thus ensuring our clients full-service advice. Moreover, our lawyers are able to advise our clients in the energy sector on all commercial, regulatory and environmental aspects relating to their activities.
