LETT has unique expertise as well as experience in advising on all aspects of operating railway services, including public regulation and case handling processes within the field of railways in general. LETT provides advice on invitation for tenders and contracts relating to the production, purchase, sale, leasing, renting, letting, repair, maintenance and regulatory approval of new as well as used rolling stock, traffic supply and contracts.

We assist our clients regarding operator licences, operator contracts and other infrastructure agreements and provide advice on railway safety, railway compensation and insurance regarding equipment, persons and goods. Our team provides assistance in connection with purchase, sale, renting and letting of railway land, station as well as operation buildings and technical installations concerning railways. We also advice on all agreements on distribution of tickets, season tickets, etc. and fixing as well as cooperating on fares.

In recent years, the operation of bus services has undergone a series of changes. Previously, public authorities were in charge of planning routes, fixing fares, etc. as well as actually operating the bus services. Today, traffic providers are only in charge of bus routes, etc, whereas the operation of bus services is left to private bus operators, which conclude contracts on the service following public procurement.

LETT has been actively involved in the developments and has in that connection assisted in divesting public bus companies and provided assistance to traffic providers as well as operators and is familiar with the particular terms applying within the field.

LETT provides advice to both Danish and foreign clients such as general and liability insurance companies, shipping companies, shipyards, carriers, and forwarding agents on all areas within maritime law and transport law, e.g. as regards handling of claims pertaining to insurance law, i.a. loading damage and loss of ship, as well as conduction of legal actions and arbitrations proceedings in Denmark and abroad.
